By collaborating with estate agents and holiday letting agents from the inception stage, we locate our developments in the most desirable locations and create future-proofed homes tailored to market demands
We are continually refining our design details and construction methods to keep abreast of all the latest technology and create the ultimate construction system that offers benefits of low embodied carbon, reduced time on site, enhanced construction quality and optimum comfort for the end user
Whether we're designing buildings in Cornwall or tropical India, our unique projects seek to express their regional identity, inspired by traditional building forms and local materials, fused with contemporary living styles and user-friendly technology
Downderry, Cornwall
A stunning contemporary holiday home with expansive sea views from the south facing 10m wide balcony. The replacement dwelling is located on the cliff edge and utilises the existing topography of the site to full effect. The roof profile is kept low to maintain the outlook for properties further inland.
Sea Edge House was designed specifically for the holiday letting market and has extremely high occupancy and income. The owners also benefit from using it as a holiday home, as and when they choose, and ultimately intend to move into the property permanently in 5-10 years.
Mawgan Porth, Cornwall
This 2 storey, 4 bedroom house enjoys stunning views, both to the coast and inland. The upper floor is set back to reduce the perceived mass and to provide a west facing roof terrace. The timber frame is highly insulated and careful detailing has ensured an airtight construction to minimise heat loss.
Bedruthan, Cornwall
A 9-unit housing scheme that replaces an old hotel and maximises the phenomenal views in all directions. External materials reflect the local vernacular of stone, slate, timber and render, whilst diverse roof profiles add variety to the long distance views of the site.
Feock, Cornwall
A dramatic house on a steep woodland site. Bedrooms are on the ground floor running parallel to the contours, while the living accommodation on the upper floor is cantilevered to enjoy stunning views across the garden and valley from a privileged, raised position, surrounded by the canopies of the nearby trees.
Sylvania was also originally intended to be a holiday home, but the client loved it so much they decided to move down from London permanently!
Marari Beach, Kerala, South India
A contemporary beach villa that integrates reclaimed heritage elements to showcase the local culture. The villa operates completely off-grid with solar PV, battery storage, borewell water and solar thermal hot water.
Marari Beach, Kerala, South India
A private pool villa that fuses traditional and contemporary design.
Designed for natural cross-ventilation with low energy lighting and appliances and solar thermal hot water.
Carnkie, Cornwall
Set in a secluded glade at the end of a long gravel driveway the renovated and extended Milk Moon Barns creates a modern family home from a collection of formerly derelict farm buildings. Left to decay for generations, only the stone walls were suitable for retention. Where possible the old walls have been left as they were found and all new parts of the building are clad in charred black timber boarding to sensitively distinguish old from new.
